This house was built in 1995 with an early ground source heat pump, blown-in batt insulation and energy efficient windows. It was tracked by the utility as a test case. The 4,000 sq ft 4 bedroom home cost $1,000 per year for heat, air conditioning and hot water. All photos by John Hession.
This was a gut rehab which included lifting and rotating the barn and re-attaching it to the house. New high-performance insulation strategy, windows and heating system make it extremely energy efficient. All new photos by John Hession.
